Starting Fresh: A New Perspective

This past year didn’t go as planned as many of my goals I set out to complete fell through the cracks when unexpected circumstances entered my life. Launches of new offerings I’d been mapping out didn’t happen as my energy became focused on my personal life. charting the course ahead for my design studio during a very up and down year. I also lacked clarity around some next steps to gain momentum which left me feeling stuck.

I didn’t want to hold onto any lingering resentment or disappointment as the next phase of my business presented itself. Instead, I wanted to embrace a clean slate, knowing that it could be whatever I wanted, without any shadows from the past holding me back.

A clean slate to me represents a fresh start. It exudes optimism and excitement for what’s ahead. A sense of the new. Clarity. Letting more light in. The simplicity and joy of small pleasures like journaling, day trips and time spent with friends and loved ones.

I created a visual representation of the feeling I wanted for my brand and as the Pinterest board came together, I started manifesting it into reality, new clients, new projects and new connections began to form. As the weather in Toronto warmed up, the new phase shaped itself and I just followed the energy with inspired actions.

The momentum built and with each small shift in my visual exterior world, the bigger shifts in my internal world started to take shape. I felt the optimism of this new phase fade in and like the big goals I’d established last year just weren’t supposed to happen at that time and now those goals have presented themselves in a new light.

I began to trust the timing, taking in how many lessons I’d learned during the past year. Everything is happening as it should.

Here’s to taking the time to visualize your ideal existence. What you take the time to imagine can become reality.

Good things are coming.
